I teach bookbinding to all ages; I run workshops for primary and secondary schools and am happy to visit schools and offer classes. I have have also taught HND students at Plymouth College of Art and Design. Recently I ran a bookbinding workshop at The Kelvingrove Museum in Glasgow (2012). This was for Key stage 2 groups from local primary schools, and I taught weekend adult courses too.
I am a highly motivated, self directed craftsperson, I have a PGCE and enjoy running workshops. I can communicate and share creativity with children; build a rapport with them, motivate them, and think in a cross curricula way. I enjoy creating cross curricula activities, particularly those that link art with science. I have worked on a number of projects that link art with natural history.
